Closing event of the exhibition "Art the Ape of Nature"The Ape in contemporary arts
Heidelberg Alumni International and the Department of European Art History at Heidelberg University kindly invite you to the closing event of the exhibition "Art the Ape of Nature" on May 24, 2013.
The exhibition opened on February 1, 2013, in the University museum of Heidelberg. Within the scope of a seminar in the Department of European Art History, Heidelberg students organized this exposition. Five artists from London, Vienna and Munich - Larissa Kopp, Gerd Dengler, Florian Aschka, Eva Blanché and Anja Priska - created paintings, videos, sculptures, drawings and photographies, some only for this special exhibition.
For our exclusive HAIlight, Dr. Ulrich Blanché, responsible lecturer of the seminar, will present you a short introduction in the Senatssaal of the Old University. Subsequently, you are invited to discover the art works and discuss the items with the artists and students.
To close up the evening, you have the possibility to deepen the conversations while enjoying a glass of champagne.
As usual, we will continue our discussions in a nearby restaurant.
