Ich freue mich sehr über diese Wiederverbindung zur Universität Heidelberg. Während meines Heidelberger Aufenthaltes habe ich unvergessliche Erlebnisse gehabt und wertvolle Erfahrungen gemacht. Außer der Erlangung meiner Doktorpromotion (Dr. med.) ist mein Sohn Paul in Heidelberg geboren und meine Frau Libera hat Deutsch zwei Semester in Heidelberg studiert.
Damit ist Heidelberg in meinem Herz ganz verbunden.
Ich schicke Ihnen zwei Bände meines Werkes "Alemanes en el Oriente Boliviano, 1535 - 1945", die einen wichtigen Beitrag zur deutschen Migrationsgeschichte und ihren Einfluss in Bolivien bedeuten. 15 Jahre habe ich für die Studie geforscht.

Es freut mich immer, wenn ich etwas von Heidelberg höre.
Ich habe 1986 - 1993 an der Universität Heidelberg/Fachhochschule Heilbronn Medizinische Informatik studiert. Ich arbeite jetzt im Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center des US-Verteidigungsministeriums, als Projektleiterin an "teledentistry projects" und an einer elektronischen Patientendatei.

I have so far recieved six issues of HAI. Every time I recieve an issue, it brings back to my memory the woderful time I spent learning the physiology an ecology of insect and plant interactions with Professor Rolf Beiderbeck at the Botanisches Institut in Neuenheimer Feld in the spring an summer of 1991.
I am sure that you will be pleased to know that Rolf and I have continued and are continuing our academic interactions. Rolf participated in my book "Ecology and Evolution of Plant-Feeding Insects in Natural and Man-Made Environments". Very recently (September 1999) we both jointly edited a special issue of the "International Journal of Ecology and Environmental Sciences".
I write this to reinforce that my stay in Heidelberg as a young DAAD scholar has enabled me to grow into a productive biologist.

Greetings from the Philippines!
I am a thirty-six year old Filipino medical doctor with a Master of Science degree (Major: Community Health for Developing Countries) from the University of Heidelberg.
In the past six years, my experience has been more on national level policy making projects, evaluation and research projects and consultancies to NGO community health and health related projects. I also have a teaching position at the Department of Preventive and Community Medicine of the Faculaty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Santo Tomas from 1993 - 1996.
I have just completed a short-term project with the WHO-Geneva, Switzerland, on Human resources for Health policy formulation process.
I am currently envolved in several projects, for example a social health insurance pilot project funded by a German Development Agency.
I hope these information will help you sort out my areas of experience an expertise for possible future assignments. Please let me know of any such possibilities.
